Sawdust pneumatic conveyor is a device specially used to convey sawdust and other lightweight fine granular materials. It uses gas power to convey sawdust through a closed pipeline for long distances and high efficiency. Sawdust is light, fine and easy to fly. Traditional mechanical conveying is prone to dust pollution and material leakage. The pneumatic conveyor uses the high-speed airflow generated by the fan to drive the sawdust to form a gas-solid two-phase flow to achieve closed conveying.
In addition, the equipment has a smooth conveying process, small sawdust particle loss, avoids blockage and material agglomeration, improves conveying efficiency and system stability, and is widely used in sawdust recovery and transportation in industries such as wood processing, furniture manufacturing and biomass energy.
Pneumatic conveyors are suitable for conveying various powdered, granular and small block materials, especially those that require closed conveying, reduce dust pollution or long-distance conveying.
Powdered materials: such as flour, cement powder, lime powder, mineral powder, chemical powder, etc.
Granular materials: such as plastic particles, grain particles, fertilizer particles, sawdust, wood chips, sugar, etc.
Small block materials: such as coal powder, slag, small ore, carbon powder, etc.

The pneumatic conveyor forms an airflow in the pipeline through a fan (or vacuum pump), uses the kinetic energy of the airflow to drive the sawdust particles to move in the pipeline, and transports the sawdust from one location to the designated storage or processing area, realizing the transportation from the feed port to the discharge port. After the material enters the conveying pipeline through the feed port, it is driven forward under the action of the airflow to complete the entire conveying process. According to the airflow direction and pressure state, common pneumatic conveying forms include:
① Positive pressure conveying: compressed air or high-pressure fan pushes the material into the conveying pipeline, which is suitable for medium and long-distance, high-yield conveying.
② Negative pressure conveying: the fan extracts air to form negative pressure, sucking the material from the feed port, which is suitable for short-distance, multi-point centralized recovery.
Sawdust has certain challenges in its conveying process due to its light volume, low density, easy floating, easy moisture absorption, and easy dust. Pneumatic conveying is suitable for such loose, powdery or lightweight materials, and its advantages are mainly reflected in:
Suitable for lightweight and easy-flowing materials: specially designed for lightweight materials such as sawdust, shavings, wood chips, and fine wood powder; the material breakage rate is low during conveying, which will not affect the sawdust structure, and effectively improve the conveying stability and continuity
Good dust control effect: the entire conveying process is carried out in a closed pipeline, which effectively avoids dust pollution caused by flying sawdust during the conveying process, and can also effectively reduce safety risks for flammable and explosive sawdust dust.

Sawdust pneumatic conveyor system is a kind of equipment system specially used for collecting and transmitting fine particle materials such as sawdust efficiently and cleanly. It realizes the transmission of materials by utilizing the power generated by air flow. The whole system consists of multiple components working together to complete the automatic collection, transmission, separation and storage process of materials. An equipment system that uses the energy of air flow to efficiently and reliably transport sawdust (or other powdered or granular materials) in a closed pipeline. It moves materials by differences in pressure and gas flow, transporting sawdust from one point in the production site to another, such as from a sawmill to a boiler room as fuel, or to a storage silo. Sawdust pneumatic conveying systems are widely used in wood processing, biomass energy, papermaking and other industries, and play an important role in the transportation of bulk materials such as sawdust, wood chips, and biomass pellets.
The ratio of sawdust to air in a pneumatic conveying system, i.e., the solid-to-air ratio, depends on many factors, including the characteristics of the material (such as density, particle size), the conveying distance, the pipe diameter, and the required conveying rate. Therefore, there is no fixed standard ratio that applies to all situations.
In practical applications, the solid-to-air ratio usually varies between 0.5 and 20. For lighter and easier-to-convey materials (such as sawdust), this ratio may be lower, about 1 to 5. This means that each unit volume of air contains 1 to 5 times the unit volume of sawdust. However, in order to ensure efficient operation of the system and avoid blockage or other problems, the specific solid-gas ratio needs to be adjusted according to the specific application scenario and the recommendations of the equipment manufacturer.
Sawdust pneumatic conveyors are widely used in wood processing, papermaking, furniture manufacturing and other industries to achieve efficient and automated material transportation.
In wood processing plants, Sawdust pneumatic conveyors can quickly transport sawdust generated from sawmills and planers to collection boxes or storage bins, reducing the need for manual handling and improving production efficiency. In the papermaking industry, sawdust is an important raw material, and pneumatic conveyors can efficiently transport it to the pulping workshop to ensure the continuity of the production process. In addition, in the furniture manufacturing process, sawdust pneumatic conveyors can also be used to transport waste materials to the crusher or fuel system in a timely manner to achieve effective use of resources.
