Carbon Steel Concrete Sand Vibrating Screen

Carbon Steel Concrete Sand Vibrating Screen is a screening machine used for grading and removing impurities from manufactured sand, river sand, and recycled concrete aggregates. The entire machine is constructed from a single welded carbon steel frame. Utilizing a vibrating motor to generate three-dimensional excitation force, it can quickly separate coarse stones, mud lumps, and ultrafine stone powder from concrete aggregates. It supports customization of 1-5 layers of screens, effectively removing large particles and simultaneously separating coarse, medium, and fine sand into multiple grades. Screening efficiency can reach over 99%. The fully enclosed dustproof design solves the problem of dust pollution during concrete sand screening. It operates with low noise and low energy consumption; screen replacement takes only 3-5 minutes. For sand and gravel companies with large concrete sand production volumes, high material hardness, and controllable budgets, our products support non-standard customization to meet your production needs, output, and site conditions.

What are the advantages of the Carbon Steel Concrete Sand Vibrating Screen?

The Carbon Steel Concrete Sand Vibrating Screen boasts a robust and wear-resistant carbon steel base, resulting in lower procurement and maintenance costs. Its multi-layer synchronous grading allows for the simultaneous production of multiple grades of sand and gravel. An integrated anti-clogging structure ensures continuous high output, making it suitable for 24-hour uninterrupted operation.

Low Cost: Carbon steel raw material prices are only 60%–70% of stainless steel, significantly reducing equipment procurement and subsequent parts replacement costs.

High Structural Rigidity: The thickened carbon steel plate welded screen box resists continuous impact from concrete sand and gravel, preventing deformation and cracking during long-term high-load operation.

Multi-layer Grading: Supports 1–5 layers of screens for simultaneous grading, separating 6 types of coarse aggregate, medium sand, and fine powder in a single screening, meeting the sand gradation requirements of different concrete grades.

Anti-clogging Screening System: An integrated bouncing ball screen cleaning device solves the problem of fine sand sticking to and clogging the screen, ensuring continuous output without decline.

Easy Maintenance: Modular and detachable screen frames simplify screen replacement; ample stock is available from Dahan factory, with standard models shipped within 5 days and non-standard customized models delivered within 7 days.

Sealed and Dust-proof: The fully sealed cylindrical structure prevents dust spillage during sand and gravel screening, meeting environmental control standards for building materials factories. Equipped with dust removal equipment, it enables dust-free operation.

Carbon Steel Concrete Sand Vibrating Screen Composition

The Carbon Steel Concrete Sand Vibrating Screen is mainly composed of several core components, each with its own function, working together to complete the operation of this screening machine.

Screen Box: The main body is made of thickened steel plate welded as a single piece, with powder-coated coating for corrosion protection. It bears sand and gravel materials and is the core load-bearing component of the equipment.

Feed Inlet: A large-diameter feed inlet is suitable for sand and gravel conveyor belt feeding, and a sealed cover prevents dust diffusion.

Screen Frame: The upper layer is for coarse screening, the middle layer for medium sand, and the lower layer for fine powder grading. A mother-and-child mesh protects the fine screen, extending its service life.

Bouncing Balls: Each layer of screens is equipped with rubber bouncing balls at the bottom. During vibration, these balls continuously impact the screen, preventing fine sand from clogging the pores.

Discharge Port: Each screen layer has an independent discharge channel, discharging finished sand and coarse impurities of different particle sizes separately.

Vibrating Motor: The excitation source of the equipment, with upper and lower eccentric weights outputting three-dimensional vibration to provide screening power.

How does the Carbon Steel Concrete Sand Vibrating Screen work?

The Carbon Steel Concrete Sand Vibrating Screen uses a vertical vibrating motor as its sole excitation source. Eccentric weights are mounted at both ends of the motor, converting the motor's rotational power into horizontal, vertical, and inclined three-dimensional composite vibration. This vibration is transmitted to the entire carbon steel screen box and screen surface. Concrete sand raw materials enter the screen through the top inlet, undergoing an involute outward diffusion motion on the screen surface. Sand and gravel particles smaller than the screen mesh size penetrate the screen and fall, while larger impurities are pushed outward along the screen surface and discharged from the corresponding layer's outlet.

Carbon Steel vs. Stainless Steel Material

Comparison Dimension Carbon Steel Vibrating Screen Stainless Steel Vibrating Screen
Raw Material Cost Low, 30%–40% lower overall equipment cost, the preferred choice for sand and gravel plants High, significant raw material price premium, high investment cost
Wear & Impact Resistance High hardness carbon steel base material, resistant to sand and gravel impact, suitable for coarse sand and recycled aggregate Relatively soft texture, prone to wear and deformation under long-term sand and gravel erosion
Corrosion Resistance Stable performance in dry sand and gravel working conditions; anti-rust paint touch-up is required regularly in humid environments Strong anti-rust and anti-corrosion performance, suitable for wet, acid and alkali materials
Applicable Industries Sand and gravel plants, concrete mixing stations, construction waste recycling, dry sand screening Food, pharmaceutical, chemical, wet material, corrosive material industries

What mesh size screen is selected for screening concrete sand?

The standard three-layer configuration of a carbon steel concrete sand vibrating screen is 10 mesh, 60 mesh, and 120 mesh. These three mesh sizes are sufficient to meet the screening needs of most commercial concrete production lines.

Coarse impurity filtration: 4–10 mesh. Intercepts large impurities such as stones, mud, and branches. The 4 mesh screen has the largest aperture and is suitable for processing large pieces of recycled aggregate from construction waste. The 10 mesh screen is used for removing impurities from ordinary manufactured sand.

Coarse sand layer: 20–40 mesh. Produces 2.36–4.75mm coarse sand, suitable for low-grade concrete and roadbed subbase materials.

Medium sand layer: 50–80 mesh. Produces 0.6–2.36mm standard medium sand, the main material used in C30–C60 concrete for commercial concrete plants. 80 mesh is the most commonly used specification in the industry.

Fine Powder Layer: 100–140 mesh, separating 0.15–0.6mm ultrafine stone powder, which is then blended into mortar and insulating concrete as needed. Excess stone powder is collected separately.

Carbon Steel Concrete Sand Vibrating Screen Customer Case

A large Russian commercial concrete batching plant, with an annual concrete production capacity of 600,000 cubic meters, had its own manufactured sand production line. Its existing old-style screening equipment suffered from severe screen clogging, unclear grading, and insufficient hourly output. The mixture of coarse and fine sand led to unstable concrete mix proportions, resulting in a finished product loss rate as high as 7%. In 2025, they purchased a DaHan Machinery DH1500 carbon steel concrete sand vibrating screen, employing a three-layer screen configuration: an upper 10-mesh layer to remove large stones, a middle 60-mesh layer to produce standard concrete medium sand, and a bottom 120-mesh layer to separate ultrafine stone powder. The equipment operates stably with a measured hourly output of 110 tons, operating continuously 24 hours a day without downtime or screen clogging, achieving a screening efficiency of over 99%. The carbon steel body withstands continuous scouring from high-intensity sand and gravel, ensuring the finished sand gradation fully meets construction sand standards, with thorough separation of coarse and fine sand. Two more carbon steel vibrating screens of the same model have been added to expand the production line.
